Anyone know any good servers?

My buddy used to run a server. All it was was a giant survival map, people could build towns, be mayors, build houses, stores, fight in wilderness, etc. Financials got the best of him and he had to shut the server down.
So....anyone know of any good servers i can start playing on that aren't strictly pvp like survival games?
