So... Here we go. I first logged into MCSG in the summer of 2012 after my best friend showed me a hunger games styled server. At this time, I was obsessed with Minecraft, so I jumped onto my laptop and logged into on my account 'JamesBlockyBlock'. I have fond memories of playing MCSG with around 5fps running around on breeze island aimlessly and punching the air when I found a chest hidden in some mangrove. I never won many games as my movements were jagged and I had no clue how to pvp or pull off any impressive techniques so I certainly wasn't a good player and racked up maybe 5 wins/150ish games. •~•
Around the time of December, I returned from my hiding and decided to log onto MCSG once again (I specifically remember it was EU1). I remember logging in to see a player called 'BajanCanadian'. I recognised his name but I did not know who he was. The match was SG4 and Bajan and Hacksource eventually killed me when I was cowering in the sewers gathering mushrooms. I then went on YouTube and looked him up and later became a committed sub until he left the server and his channel became more PG...
Early 2013: I had bought a new laptop (which I play on to this day and runs around 60-100fps) and started to become more committed to MCSG. I played with my close friends Dr_Squidwardo and fat_frosty a lot, especially in the Summer. My memories with them are countless and Dr_Squidwardo bought me iron donor a couple of times just so we could play together in full lobbies (<3). We used to always play on CA servers, and we were often recognised (especially Squid as he was a diamond donor- a rare sight as it only lasted for a month and not many players had it at the time). We were, so to speak, utter noobs- but every game was so fun. We never raged, we just got on with it and tried out best.
We had an ongoing competition to see who could get the most wins (which I ultimately won with around 80) and the CA community was welcoming and thriving at this point. One of fondest memories is playing with Huahwi and proxniggles during late Summer 2013. At this point, Huahwi was just starting out with youtube in his swaggy tuxedo tiger skin and his 20 subs- but he was born an amazing PvPer. He inspired me to practise pvp as DMs with him always ended badly; but it has been really nice to see him grow into what he has become now c:
I then started to become more committed to MCSG during late 2013 and played with some new faces. PalmIEA and PorkChopFrenzy
joined out group of tributes and we enjoyed FFAing in lobbies which brought on some friendly trash talk and spawn targets
I have always played MCSG for fun, hence why my ratio isn't the best (1/6) and I don't want to move into a too competitive side as I want MCSG to stay fun and active. I have also never really been too actively involved with the community, my involvement probably reaches to a couple of Skype calls (mentions at the end, hang on c: ). 2014 has brought a more dedicated side to me and as Summer of this year draws closer, my aim is to be more active within the community and maybe apply for moderator to help out the community and do my part; putting something back into MCSG and it has given me so many fond memories •u•
Currently, I have just over 200 wins but I hope to play more when my exams are all over c:
