"A lucid dream is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming. In relation to this phenomenon."
Lucid dreaming is a concept that has been around for quite a while now, but I've never actually been able to submerge myself into it. Not only do I think it would be a mystical form of an experience, but one that would be interesting to practice. My question is if anyone has practiced it or carried it out here, and if so what tactics did you use? I always try and get into some sort of program with it but I find myself failing.

What are your thoughts on it?

It's a really cool thing, but I have experienced it 2 times at most.

Lucid dreaming induces 'sleep paralysis' which is the most terrifying thing I have ever done. It is when the 'Lucid Dream' turns into a nightmare, some may experience a demon sitting on their chest or another creature of demon-like form of some sort. I highly recommend that you do not attempt to lucid dream. unless you have an alarm set, otherwise you wont wake up when you want to, which is essential.

I've experienced sleep paralysis before, especially since my body likes to fall asleep way before my brain does. Therefore, I do not want to try to lucid dream. Seems cool though :c

Can someone explain this to me more detailed;-;
From my understanding, this is how it works:
When you're dreaming you typically never have any idea you're dreaming. It just all seems real: no matter how foolish or far-fetched the situation is. With Lucid dreaming you can kind of warp your way into knowing that you are awake which results in varying experiences. Some people praise it and say it's a nice experience, other people say they're forced into hellish situations in which they are unable to escape from thereby creating an extreme misery. It's a scary and unusual concept.

About a few years ago, I magically Lucid Dreamed and got a really scary nightmare. I was not able to sleep for a week, but sooner I faced my fear.
