Tip 1: Be Ready.
If you have a really crappy mouse and keyboard, you might want to wait until you can afford a better one. I made this mistake and kept playing even though my mouse was terrible. Now I have Razer DeathAdder and I am like 10 times better

Tip 2: Get a teammate!
While it may get you minor hate in-game, playing with a friend is a great way to get some wins and have fun

Tip 3: DON'T GET BANNED
While it may seem obvious, DON'T. If you feel like you may rage in the chat, just take a ten minute break. Punch a pillow, rip up some paper, do anything to release the stress of hackers/tryhards/other teams besides raging in the chat.

Tip 4: Be Nice: If someone asks you to team, say sure. It's one less person who's gonna kill you in-game
It's also good practice for IRL social stuff

Tip 5: Join A Clan!
Clans are awesome! Try to find one that has some decent players, and a good thread design.

Tip 6: Have Fun! It's a game. Games are supposed to be fun, and if you aren't having fun, why are you playing it?

Now that you are much pro, go gg10 some nublets

Teams are nice for getting a good ratio as long as you can beat that person in your team xD same goes with joining a clan. A big help tho is defo the mouse and keyboard. Also having a great internet connection/ping is a GREAT help when it comes to pvp

Oh ye, I was going to add the internet stuff but brain fart. And you have to bribe the team or clanmates to let you win ;)

Best tip for good ratio: If you are playing to win, you do whatever it takes to bloody win.

Being in a clan probably won't help your ratio...
IMO it'll help a person improve. They learn from each other, find out new tactics together, and can team in order to win more games overall. A new player generally would have perhaps a 1/24 ratio (one in every 24, as there's 24 players) but a slightly better player might have 1/10. If you team with a clan, then maybe you get into DM in every 1/4, and if you win every 1/3 then it'd increase your ratio to 1/9.
(Did I math correctly?)
