If say around 3-4 at the most.
Trust me, having a social and athletic life>no lifing video games. They're fun to play, but don't put them before things like school

Less gaming is more healthy. Physical exercise, first person interactions and socializing, and eating healthy is, well, healthy. Gaming is purely for enjoyment, and is not good for health. Some people, such as myself, spend over a dozen hours on their computers daily, and they are often either underweight or overweight due to lack of exercise and a poor diet. They often need glasses, and have health issues such as blood clots or carpal tunnel.
I've been lucky enough to avoid all of that except for being underweight (100 pounds exactly at 5 foot 8.) But that can also be blamed on my genes, seeing as everyone in my family (except my dad) is also under 100. (Except they're all like 5'0".)
If you want to balance enjoyment and health, try for maybe 2-3 hours a day, at most. Do it after you're done homework, exercise, and everything else. Put friends before gaming, for that socializing aspect. If you can also make some online friends, that should help your need for socializing as well, although don't rely completely on it like I do.

(yeah, I'm a 15 year old NEET.)

If a more healthy lifestyle is what you are looking for then I do not think gaming has a place there. Anytime you are sitting down for extended periods of time it is bad for you. There was actually a nation wide debate about this a couple years ago concerning the amount of time a student sits down in school. I exercise 3 hours everyday because I play high school and AAU basketball so I don't worry, but if you don't have an active lifestyle then you should consider changes.

Honestly, I think a better question to answer first, is whether or not gaming is healthy.

I'd say about 1-2 hours a day.

I would say as much as you feel like once you balance it with exercise or you loose sleep.

Honestly, I spend waaay too much time gaming, but gaming is what makes me happy! Who cares if I spend all day playing minecraft and eating icecream? But like, I think everyone "Healthy" gaming times depends on the person. Do what you're comfortable with! :3

Reason #1 why I chose to go to the park and play basketball instead of boosting my ratio :D
