In a nutshell, the au budget is a levy that tony Abbot has put into place. There are going to be additional payments being made by everyone in Australia, as well as price increases. The anger about it is is that Mr Abbot said in his election speech: There will be no tax under the government that I rule, which was what the previous government also said, and did. The other uproar is that Australia had enough money about 3 months ago, but abbot spent millions on fighter jets that Australia doesn't need, and now he's realised what he's done and that's his excuse for implementing it
