I don't particularly like Youtube giveaways, but Retro had done one in the past that I participated in. Of course, the odds were against me and I lost. But I eventually stuck around, and I saw lots of his vids. I enjoyed them, so I stayed and watched most of his content.

Now, I really don't want to take a side on whether a Youtube Giveaway is good or bad. It's been a positive influence on me, since I've found a new youtuber that I watch. In the same way, Retro has benefited by gaining a new fan.

You could say that it's cheap, and that is arguably correct. But in the end, it brought about a positive influence on the world, (people gaining a new youtuber that they watch, there must be more than just me), so I think there's more good done.

Chill dude, I never said you were bad... ._. I'm just saying that subscribers that come from a giveaway might not be dedicated to watching your video. That's why your subscriber to view ratio might be bad.

The winner is going to be announced in nearly two months from now. Do you think people'll remember to unsubscibe that far from now? You're pretty much "buying" subscribers for a temporary time.

Just note that people don't make giveaways to gain from them, that's not really the point of giving something away. The gain that you're supposed to get is the feeling of contentment seeing someone ecstatic over winning, and them enjoying their platinum donor.... But I guess we all have different intentions these days...

Kid we never called you a bad person, or we never said you bought your subs. We are just saying that doing a giveaway might not get you subscribers that will be dedicated to your channel and watch all your videos. Do you understand now, or need I say more?
