I think it is about time I tell my MCGamer story. I know people don't like to read too much and I haven't been here too long so I will keep it short.
I joined the community one day in March. I had found out about MCGamer on google when I was looking for a good server. I knew from that moment that I wanted to be a member of the community. So, I got on in-game and saw that there were a lot of game types. I started playing and I found that there are a lot of rule breakers. I found out about the forums and joined here too. I immediately started getting screenshots and videos of every rule breaker I saw. Finally, I came across the MCSG Applications section.
I first applied and my application was missing a few things. I was declined right then and there for lack of information and for not being active enough. The second time I applied I was missing some things too, but it still got pending. I was then declined after they reviewed my application. The third time I applied I wasn't missing anything, but I wasn't active enough. I discovered that they were saying I wasn't active enough because I didn't participate in many MCSG matches. I set my goal to playing as many MCSG matches and got to about 300 when I applied again. They sent my application to pending and then I got an interview.
In my interview, Michael was my lead, Sean was there, and CAmadeusA was there. I finished answering all the questions in as many details as possible. They placed me in the waiting room while they were discussing some things. They brought me up later and said, "I am gonna have to be completely honest." I was at a point of adrenaline rush. Then they continued, "But you are now a MCGamer moderator!" I was thrilled. Throughout the little time I have been here, it has been a joy getting to help out the amazing community.
Here are some of the people who have made my stay here better:
All Normal Players: Without you, I'd have no one to get after.
Lively: He was there from the first second I joined the server. He encouraged me and he was always able to have a conversation. When poked, he stops whatever he is doing to complete what he was asked to do. Thanks Lively for all your help and encouragement.
SmoothPixels: He is my partner in crime. Well actually partner in eliminating crime. We are the TeamSpeak police. Thanks for SmoothPixels, for helping me to be a better staff member and for being a TeamSpeak police officer.
AmyGlitters: She is basically the creative moderator. She spends endless hours giving help to people who need it. She also made being on creative more enjoyable. Thanks Amy, for lending a hand on the creative servers.
Jimmer: He was my trainer. He spent at least an hour teaching me everything I need to know about moderation. Thanks Jimmer, because without your training I would be MCGamer's worst staff member.
Sean: Even though your are gone, you still helped in a large way. By offering encouragement and wishing me the best. And for being in my interview. Thanks Sean, for all you have done in the community.
Michael and CAmadeusA: Thanks guys, for giving me the chance to work with you.
