But there aren't a lot of chests in general to make tier 2s. Of course they could make some more, but it'd be disproportionate to have as many as most other maps.
Indeed, and the majority of the map is water. The size itself is nothing wrong :p

It's not that small if it's 500 in diameter (250radius) as Static claims it to be
Yeah but who ever leaves the main island? Especially since they removed all the tier twos out there. (Like why is the lava mountain chest not a tier two...) How have they not gotten to fixing this map yet? Same goes with winds of change. I have an OP route on it, the sad thing is it only has two tier twos and it's still op.
Rebuttal of #1): Dave himself has sworn up and down that each map has an equal (or at least equivalent) number of tier-IIs. Least I think that was Dave....a little help here, Englishman friend?
/QUOTE]
I could swear that maps like Wyvern's Wake (though it's gone now), Fortune Island, and Teweran SG2, have miles more than other maps. I mean I think the only t2 I've seen on Teweran SG1 is the double, and there are other maps that are definitely lacking in at least balanced tier two placement (*cough* Valleyside *cough*)

I do all the time, parts of my chest route is outside the main island.(long time since I've played breeze though, I must admit).
And indeed, the chests really do need re-tiering. All I'm saying is that it's fairly big, although people rarely go to the outskirts

I'd like YOU, reader, to read all my post, because I examine two cases: the one of the situation right now and the one of the situation as I think should be with the new voting system. Thanks.

I think we should switch to the old one as the situation is right now. Now the bigger voting weight that donors have is not that worth it. Sometimes you can just vote another map just to screw the votes up (Trollish style) and that map might get picked, which is not that nice to happen, especially for people who can't play on certain maps because of lag or other reasons like that, so they prefer to play the overplayed maps, which have no lag issues at all. I mean, if a map doesn't get picked as much as another one, it's obviously because the community don't like it as the other.. Example: Fortress Pyke Vs. Valleyside University. This is a stupid example, but people will obviously vote the second one, because it's better for PVP, running, and has a lot of different chest routes. I think the biggest underplayed maps should removed or edited so they could be liked more by the community. For example there are some maps that are not really good for PVP (Like The SG 1, 3, 5 where you can place fns only in certain areas) that should edited and become better for the PVP aspect of the game. In this way the servers would have a majority of good PVP maps (that obviously will be well biuilt of course), which would mean that the 'new' voting system could stay.
They should first say what map won so people that have lag problems with the map, can have the chance of leaving, without having that leave recorded as game played.

Majority of these comments are either: a) People going off-topic and/or flaming at each other.
b) Someone comments on something they dislike/critiques the servers and asks staff to do something about it.

I think staff should generally not be so 'aggressive' on the forums. Even if people do name them and it isn't their fault for whatever mishap may have happened, it's their duty to act mature and hear them out, rather than just instantly delete comments for 'abuse', 'not needed', 'uncalled for' and lock threads as soon as some staff critique comes along. That sends people a negative message, even if they aren't trying to.

Sorry for taking this a bit off-topic. I won't mention anything about it on the thread anymore.
Yes, we already have gone off topic quite a lot. Its nice to see some of us can have a civilised discusion though :)

I understand what you mean though, work definietly needs to be done on both sides.

In my opinion, the system is very annoying because there could be a map that no one likes except one person, and that map could win. I do like the fact that it keeps maps from being over played, but it should at least do something like give whatever has the most votes an extra ten percent or something, because the map with the most votes is obviously the one that people want to play. Also, multiple times I have been Scrimming with my clan, and a random, horrible Scrimming map will be selected instead of the scrimming map that nearly everyone voted for.

So my opinion, it should be changed a lot, or reverted back to the old version.

I say keep the raffle voting. Because I have managed to get my favorite maps played, eg. Fortress Pyke and TSG3. It also adds a fair chance of every map getting picked.

Fortress Pyke is by far the better map. Everyone in Sypher knows that.
Good guy NotCanziano (i swear he's not canziano) , not caring that donors' votes don't count that much with the raffle voting.

5 or so double tier 2s certainly doesn't hurt, does it? :p
