Something we thought about doing for clan battles is make specific servers that have the old system of voting for that very reason. An idea we can provide maybe in the future.
PLEASE THIS WOULD MAKE THE CLAN COMMUNITY SO HAPPY YOU DONT' EVEN UNDERSTAND

How about the map has to have at least 20% to be selected.

I love it. My favorite underplayed maps have a chance, and it isn't always certain maps. I still think /skip should be readded, but as a non-raffle, so if /skip has more votes at, say, 1 minute left, and extra 30s are added and new maps appear.

In my opinion, you should have the voting system mark a map as winning if it obtains 75% of the votes or more. If no map has 75% of the votes, then perform the raffle draw to determine a map. I feel this would at least solve the issue where there's overwhelming support for a particular map and it isn't selected, but still allows for randomization where there is no clear majority.

Agh, I honestly hate it. If people are voting for one map, and it wins over the others, it should be played. Usually if the map that everyone voted isn't picked, everyone just leaves anyways.

REMOVE PLS!
Yeah what he said. Also it seems like we are trying really hard to keep this system when there is very little use for even having this voting system in the first place. If we go back to the old voting system then everyone will be happy and have no complaints.

A voting cap would make the results even more inaccurate, as a percentage system relies on the sums of all percentages adding up to 100% to be accurate. Good idea in theory, but wouldn't work in practicality.

Let me ask you something. Why are maps underplayed? Nowadays (in my opinion), maps that are flashy and pretty and seem to have good gameplay make the cut and are added into the MCGamer network. Half of these maps are underplayed (Winds of Change, etc.). I haven't played MCSG in a while as I'm been moving myself over to CS:GO. The other underplayed maps are maps which the players who are on the forums vouch for, signing petitions and things. But these forums users are just a small fraction of the MCGamer player base. I can't remember if the staff used the in-game polls to bring back Rugged Lands or the other removed, underplayed maps, and if they did ignore what I'm about to say next, but the only reason why underplayed maps are underplayed are because there are maps with faster, better gameplay. Valleyside is overplayed because there are loads of chests and is a relatively small map, making it a quick, fast game. SG2 is underplayed because there are a lacking amount of chests, and the gameplay is very long.
Introducing raffle votes was a bad idea from the start. A sole person who wants to play SG1 and casts a vote of one, whereas the rest cast a vote of... let's say Valleyside, SG1 may be picked, and if it is picked people groan and moan and end up leaving the game. Using the old system of just 'majority wins' is better because it is the option which most people want to play. Why force people to play a map that they dislike? Surely one player leaving over half the server is better.
In conclusion, I'd like to state/reiterate that the voting system is supposed to represent the players online as a whole and a majority. Thank you.

Breeze is still good, the reduction of tier 2's made it a pain to play.., considering if you have 1 pieces of iron armour and an iron sword it makes you un-killable and 80% of the time you get food from the tier 2's that are in the map, personally if they put the tier 2's back in it would make for a more enjoyable playing experience as it use to be. that is also why people don't enjoy the raffle system because the maps that get voted in have a low amount of tier 2's making it less enjoyable
It was an example. If you want to tell about how "good" you think the map is make a thread.

Aww! Theres more votes to remove than to keep! :(

To be honest... people state as an argument that maps dont get played for a reason, implying they are not that good and thus that why they are not chosen, but that is completely wrong! The real reason some maps never have a chance to get played is because lots of people only care about the maps where they know chest routes... its unfortunate but, people dont really want to spend their time learning a new map... THAT is why theres overplayed and underplayed maps.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have the servers divided in 3 types, servers which only give underplayed maps as options to vote, servers in which the regularly played maps are the only choices and servers where all the most played maps are for voting!
It would be kind of like what the Pokemon community does with OU, RU, NU... for those who dont know, these are divisions for online pokemon battles. OU is for the Overused pokemons, RU for the rarely used pokemons and NU for the Never used pokemons. An example of how this works would be, you are not allowed to try a NU battle if you have a OU pokemon in your team.

I honestly don't want it. When I want to record a certain map like Icarus or Valleyside for youtube, I won't be happy when I end up playing Vida Cova and getting wrecked my people who get the full diamond armor and stuff. Also, just today I tried to vote for Winds of Change, but I hit the wrong number and voted for Memory of Earth. Then, with a 7% chance of winning, Memory of Earth won. Someone can make a mistake and end up playing the map that no one wanted.

Suggestions:
Old voting system
Maybe a way to take away a vote that you cast and revote for another map.
