Diamond will remain lifetime while platinum costs the same but different thing between diamond and platinum so the staff. Will give u a chance to choose what one u want for free if u have diamond already.

Giving away free upgrades is the equivalent of giving away free cash. For some reason, I don't think that's going to happen.

Which is why "donating" is the wrong word. If you donate, you shouldnt get benifits, you're donating to HELP.

Wounded Warrior Project gives you a blanket, doesn't mean it's not a donation. Perks are a way of thanking people (and enticing people to donate, of course).

If you receive monitary value back for your "donation" you are technically purchasing, not donating.

I don't think I've ever heard a person donate to MCSG to help out, to be completely honest with you.

Classifying it as a donation has a lot to do with legal status and stuff. And donator ranks aren't exactly monetary value, they literally cost nothing but a tiny bit of time to give.
