ok so this was just an idea to take into consideration and an idea i had that i just wanted some info on.when you get permbanned its usually for hacking, threating to doss or abuse. Now this may sound crazy but most of the people on this server are ages 12-18 and we all make mistakes some bigger then others but no matter how big or small the mistake is it is over and done with now and theres no going back.my idea was to give people 1 more chance and anyone who was permabanned gets unbanned on the exception that if they do anything wrong again it results in getting permabanned again.

anyone who is a mod or in the community feel free to give your opinion but please dont flame/hate

It's a controversial topic, sure, but we've got reasons behind it.

For instance, people who threaten to/or manage to compromise a users security or make DDOS attacks are actually breaking a law and will be dealt with with permanent bans.

Abusers have more then enough chances - 6 in total actually. We feel this is an adequate amount of time for people to understand their past mistakes and learn from that. After so many chances, it becomes a problem.

Now hackers are a bigger topic - Hacking is bad, it takes the fun away from the game and hurts the players. Yes, we've had many messages from banned users stating they've changed.. they'd never do it again - but if we began changing the way we do things and giving users more chances/lengthier bans rather then permanent, we'd have a statistically higher hacking problem then we're currently dealing with. A majority of those cases would be people who would return to offend again, rather then change. That'd mean more hackers.

Inappropriate name bans are easy - make a ban dispute after 1.8 has been set in with Mojang's new name change system and prove you've changed your name and you'll be welcomed back to the servers :)

Look, it's not as though we permanently ban them straight away for hacking. We give them a chance. Now, if they were supposedly going to change, they should do that after being banned for 7 days. Everyone deserves a second chance, not three.

I say instead of just perma banning them we make the punishment harsher, by IP banning them. This way they can't avoid it like most people do. The amount of alts people have these days make it easy to avoid a ban, and it is hard to catch them doing it.

Lel they get way too many chances it's a joke. If you're permanent banned you clearly don't learn from the countless warnings they give you.

If you know people in the clans community that using alts report them. I'm sure I know the people who you're talking and when I was staff every staff member is suppose to be watching out for them.
