It all began around June in 2013. I had heard of this game-mode called 'Survival games' from this YouTuber named PauseUnpause's video. I recalled reading the book 'Hunger Games' and figured to give the game-mode equivalent to the book a try. After talking to a friend about this new Minecraft game-mode, he showed me the server named 'MCSG'. We joined the server, and before we knew it, we were on a platform in a run down city called Survival Games 2. I was afraid to step off of my platform, for in the book if you did so you were blown to bits. Once the game began I tried to punch the trees to get wood. I thought I was lagging, and the trees not breaking was lag on my part. This was my noob-ish moment in my MCSG experience.
After a month or so of playing the server on and off I learned how the plugin worked. I made a bunch of new friends, foes, and acquaintances. All was going smoothly, but even more so when I picked up my first win. My first win was on the map MoonBase9. I remember that I had full chain, except for iron boots. I was teleported to the death-match arena with shaky hands. This was my 3rd time making it to deathmatch. There were 4 people in the death match, until one person randomly did ./hub and left the game. Then there were three. The two other people had full iron, a diamond sword, golden apples, FnS, food, and e.t.c. The two other people went to fight each-other. They were both very good, lighting each-other on fire multiple times. Eventually, one person killed the other one. I then ran in and CLEEEEEANNN UP CREEEWWWWWW'D the person that was left standing. Although it was an unfair win some might say... To me a win is a win. I was very proud of my self and not my win ratio was at about 1/60-ish.
A while after, MCSG became a hub server instead of a bunch of different lobbies that you had to have the IP for, which I found very helpful. I played, and played days and days on end. I was addicted. Eventually, I realized my addiction and stopped playing MCSG for about 3 months. I came back to MCSG about 4 months ago. In-between the time that I left and the time that I had came back, a whole lot had changed. There were new mops, staff, plugin features, and more.
Over the last 4 or 5 months, I have been an avid player on MCSG. I still am HORRIBLE at PvP with a 10/500 win ratio, yet I have fun.
That's my story :)
