It is very courageous for opening up to your sexuality. I used to be Christian( I quit don't ask how). People shouldn't be hated based on sexuality, race, age, gender etc. Prejudice and discrimination is just wrong but society sucks you into it. For example, if you live in a neighbourhood where everyone hates blacks, you will to. We have to prevent this by working together and limiting stereotypes.

I used to be Christian too but I didn't really agree with things in the bible etc so I became atheist (I don't want to burn in hell ;-; ) And I hope they do stop discrimination too Also this is the first time we rly talked since summer xD

As much as this coming out thread is brave, I wish that people didn't have to come out or even care about it. Let's be honest, in a perfect world you'd announce you're gay and then people would say "So what? You think you're special?" But unfortunately it hasn't gotten to that point where being gay is just normal, the same as being hetero.

However I do think gays aren't doing much to help them. Look at gay pride. You get floats with hundreds of men/women making out and flapping their junk about dressed in rainbows. What else would make someone more uncomfortable about gays? If you want equality act like a yourself, but don't be ashamed of your sexuality either. Just don't be too ridiculous.
