Okay, so look. My name is Carlos, and I make YouTube videos, one thing that is the hardest for me is just the plain out commentary, I was trying out the old just talking like; Okay, lets get the wood.. And now we can make a crafting table, so lets move on and do this or this. But that is sooo boring, do you guys have any other techniques that you guys use for making videos that keep it funny, or interesting? Any support would be supper helpful! Thanks!

Think of one small thing to talk about for about a minute or two before and branch off of that for the rest.

That's a good way to go about it. Maybe start with like a story or something, or just a discussion topic, and give your point of view on it. Then expand that into commentary for an episode of whatever sort of video it is. Just say whatever comes to mind basically.

Exactly, though it doesn't even have to be that large of a topic. It could be a side note that leads to something else. Just remember: Say anything that will interestingly keep the commentary flowing at a stable at a not boring rate throughout the video.

My channel, saharamojave, has....improving commentary I guess. View the progression between episodes 2 and 5. It would be helpful to get more comments. I get like one comment per video while other people with less subscribers get 10-20 comments a video. Comments greatly help improve the commentary of future videos because then the uploader can talk about what interests his/her current audience.

Some things I need to work on that you could use a a checklist are:

1). Projecting your voice (I tend to mumble)

2). Not get so sidetracke....SQUIRREL! (That's basically the extent of my commentary in episode 2 xD)

3). If something even mildly interesting or unique happens, blow it out of proportion and make a big deal of it. In my 2nd episode, I came back to corn on Vida Cova and the 4th guy left fell and died right in front of me, making me stacked. I made the newbie mistake of going silent. What I should've done, what ThatOnTomahawk or Tobuscus would've done, would be to laugh about it (maybe even show a slo-mo replay or something). Alpha does an excellent job of utilizing this, as does Tomahawk.

Well, I find each YouTuber has their own style of commentating. ThatOneTomahawk was know for his stories about his childhood adventures in Mexico, for example. You're going to have to find something you can talk about for a while and it be interesting. Maybe some recent event that happened to you, a childhood event, giving an opinion on something, etc. It takes a lot of practice to improve commentating skills.

If you're getting double or triple teamed, your commentary gets very....entertaining sometimes. 'Tis what I meant. Getting excited instead of just going silent and focusing on your gameplay (like most of us do when we think we're about to die).

Either talk about what you're doing or find interesting subjects to talk about.
