I Survived 6 Months!

Hello everyone on the MCGamer forums, my name is Nick, more formally known as KitMencha. As you can see from the title, today marks my 6th month of being a staff member here, oh boy time flies huh? In order to celebrate the occasion I am going to briefly highlight my favourite parts about these 6 months. But I warn you, you may have to do a lot of reading!

Where do I start? How about my first application? The first ever time I applied for mod was on the 1st of June. Within two weeks I was declined due to lack of detail which was understandble, a 3oo word mod app won't cut. I then applied once more and within 6 days I got into the pending stage. A week later I was declined once again. I told myself that I wouldn't apply again but somehow I talked myself into it. I applied once more. A month and two weeks go by and I still hadn't gotten a reply so I messaged Joshkey and Le0 on the forums and they told me it was going to get pushed forward to be reviewed sooner since I had been waiting ages. The next morning at 3:54 am I got into pending and at 4:43 am I got accepted by slasherxtreme . I woke up to check my forum notifications and it said "slasherxtreme replied to the thread Interview - KitMencha Moderator Application" and I immediately freaked out. I started telling my whole family about it even they had no clue what I was talking about.

I was on TS almost 24/7 for my interview an finally 6 days later I had my interview. My interview started at 11:00 am on Saturday 29th September 2013 and ended 38 mins later. About 15 mins later they dragged me in and tried to get me to sing but I refused because I don't like singing in front of people. At 12:00 pm I got the Moderator rank. Believe it or not, my interview started at exactly 11 and I got my rank at exactly 12.
Throughout the first few months I made a lot of new friends on the network and achieved a sense of belonging within the community. I still remember my first training which was really informal, Toast and I were in a custom channel on a Google Hangout and he screenshared his screen with me and began training. It was really funny though because thats when we both discovered that we have the same first name. Till this date we are still debating who is the better 'Nick' (Totes Me).

As in life, we have good days and bad days. I remember a lot of times throughout my stay here at MCGamer that I would feel left out, that no one wanted me around and it really did reflect on my life because I'm not the most sociable person IRL. Due to my Generalized Anxiety Disorder and my suicidal past I would often have anxiety attacks and be prone to self harm. Then I meet LadyOfLove . Her IGN does not lie. Despite the constant loving insults at each other, Shelby has really taken care of me these past few months and from the bottom of my heart I thank her.

Then I met Bowser52000 , oh boy. Benny has been a really approachable person throughout my journey here at MCGamer and whenever I have any questions I can always go to him and trust that he can help with no matter what the situation is. He tries his best to help me out any way possible especially with the World Cup <3. Oh and he's loud.

Then I got Mod Of The Meeting with LadyOfLove . Oh that was great. We had been working closely together with Bowser52000 and kpwn243 on the development on the current MCGamer Xime Panel

Being an MCGamer also has it's IRL perks too! I found out that a number of people in my school play on MCGamer and they all freaked out when they found out that I was a mod. Popularity boost ftw.

181 days later since the day I got mod I have met many amazing people that I want to thank and in no particular order, thank you for making my stay here the best time of my life:
