The title says it all, here are the steps I think MCSG should take to handle hackers:
  1. No tolerance policy, if you get caught, perma ban. If they get second chances, chances are they will just do it again. Anyone with the mindset to hack in the first place does not belong in this community period.
  2. Spectators should be able to see the number of hearts a player has like in Battlegrounds, this makes it much easier to tell if someone is using regen haxs. (this may be to hard to program, just an idea) Edit: Maybe mod only as specs might abuse them. Thanks for the feedback!
  3. Mods should only be accepted if they have submitted at least 5 hacker reports previously, and the did this with at least 80% or more being accurate. This reduces the chance of false reports, and lets MCG hire mods who are proven to be able to identify hackers. Also, it encourages players who want to be come mods someday to record hackers.
  4. Post an official video called "How to identify hackers" on this website. Demonstrate the different types of haxs and how to identify them. This will hopefully reduce the false hackusations, and help players identify them in the first place.
I know there have been a lot of threads like this, but hopefully be ideas were unique enough. Opinions?

All good ideas except the spectators being able to see tributes' health. That could easily be abused.

In what ways? The only way I could think of is if you were on skype or teamspeak with a spectator. This is the only way I really see to finding regen hackers though.

You could just permit it as a staff only thing.

1. No, there is already enough threads about this, people deserve a second chance, most people would not be on MCSG today who are now legit players, today.
2. No, it benefits teams, and they will their teammate how low the person who he or she got killed by.
it benefits teams, and they will tell their teammate how low the person who he/she got killed by.
3. Maybe, but not all mods catch hackers, they keep the chat in control, spammers, ect.
4. No, there are threads about how to catch hackers.

Say you are teaming with somebody over teamspeak or Skype. If your teammate dies, they could tell you the health of every tribute in game so you know who to target, when to run, if you can finish off your opponent and things like that. I don't think this needs to be added, as regen hackers can easily be revealed through FNS.

What would you think about it if it was only mods that could use it though?

I don't agree with a lot of it.

With the spectator idea. With 1.8 implementing the gamemode 'Spectator' enabling a user to spectate someone in 'First person POV' It should make catching hackers a lot easy, and make the mods job a lot easier aswell.

I personally think it would do better good than bad.

Banning regen hackers > Some kid getting the upper hand

Well, it would certainly make catching regen hackers easy assuming you can see their health. But, in terms of other types, mods usually prefer third person.
