Well there is a way to unfollow the banned people, so the number matches up with the avatars in the box.
Step 1: Know who you want to unfollow. If you don't know the banned person who you want to unfollow, then this thread is meaningless to you.
Step 2: Find a post of theirs, anywhere on the forums. Then, click on their avatar in the post. It should look like this http://gyazo.com/fcaf3d25c2191bb28d75c96b5ee83197. Notice the "follow" button in the middle? If it says "unfollow" then simply click it, and you have unfollowed the person. IF YOU ARE USING FLEXILE DARK, IT IS VERY HARD TO SEE, BUT IT IS STILL THERE.
This method works because you can't view their profile to unfollow them. Hope this helps! :3
