Lost Ridge.

It has has houses for shelter, along with farms and wells near the villages to provide water and food. There's even an airship, which you could hide in and just throw something at anybody trying to get in. There is a lot of wood, which you could break and turn into weapons. If you have the time, you could even go back to the cornucopia and head towards the mine to get some stone/iron weapons.
