Hi!

So I bought a SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset a while ago, and I've been recording videos with it for a while. But then I watched a video with someone using it, and it sounded so much better. So I went into Control Panel > Sound > Recording only to realize that my computer hasn't even detected my device. And when I use Fraps, it always says some Realtek microphone, which is the computer I believe. How do I get my computer to detect my headset?

Thanks,

PC or Mac? (PC I'm assuming). I'd try going to a troubleshooting website for the company you got the headset for.
Dummy Question: But make sure the mic part of the headset is plugged into the right port on the computer. (A lot of people plug it into the red one, when it is supposed to go into the salmon colored one).

My computer is dumb and has one port to plug it in, so I got a cable that connects both of them into one. Even if I just plug in the Microphone one, it doesn't work. I might have to resort to that, because I am running out of options pretty fast. It's extremely odd how it hasn't picked it up (I'm using a PC by the way).
Edit: They told me I could bring it back. They didn't suggest any other options, though >.<

Then I'd recommend bringing it back. Haha.

Fraps has nothing to do with this issue...

Do you have an Asus?
I'm going to contact support once I find the bill, hopefully they'll know what to do.
