Schools get that speed because they are already hooked up to the NBN. The fastest speeds you'll see in Australia will be around 100 Mbps. Quackeryy gets his amazing internet because that's the capability of Optic Fibre. Google are researching the capability of 1,000 Mbps or more. Of course, nothing is faster than light, right?Exactly.
Well I'm getting some tips on fine-tuning my internet, and adjusting some things. I might be able to get it a little faster. All I know is that when I move out I'm moving somewhere with fibre.
Quackeryy, you really don't need all that speed, you should get your neighbours to give you money for the wi-fi password!

I wish the connection I had to AS was to AU insteadSchools get that speed because they are already hooked up to the NBN. The fastest speeds you'll see in Australia will be around 100 Mbps. The most an Optic Fibre test has ever achieved is around 1,000 Mbps, the only problem is that it was wired through a continuous loop, directly attached to a Google server. Google, along with other companies are trying to research the ability to achieve 1,000 Mbps around the world, meaning that I could speed-test a server in Australia (or wherever you live), and get the same speeds if I were to speed-test a place opposite to me on the globe. (Which (for me) would be somewhere near Great Britain or Spain.)
