Hi!
I'm going to be buying a gaming mouse soon, but I don't know which.
I've pretty much narrowed it down to two - The Razer Naga and Razer Deathadder, not particularly in that order.
Right now I'm leaning towards the Deathadder, but I'd like to be able to have enough buttons, so I kind of want the Naga as well.

Games I play: Minecraft, League of Legends. Recently I've been playing more League, but I still do love Minecraft.

However, I'm also open to getting a different mouse, but I'm going to be really picky when buying it.

  • Extra buttons only on the left side, next to the thumb. (Right handed)
  • I'm more of a palm-grip player, both my wrist and ring/pinky finger touch the mouse pad 90% of the time.
  • I like scroll wheels that are kinda clicky, and don't roll freely like apple mice.
  • I don't have a super massive hand, but I'm 5 foot 8 so I don't have tiny hands.
  • I currently have this mouse: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Comfort-Optical-Mouse-69H-00001/dp/B000F40PHE

Death Adder: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-deathadder
2 buttons on the side, one of the highest rated mice. It's just that I'd like more than 2 extra buttons, since Minecraft has 9 inventory slots, and I use 4 in combat (Sword, bow, fishing rod, and flint and steel. 1, 2, 3, and 9, in that order.)
Also, League of Legends. I would probably set one key to ping and the other to a summoner spell such as flash.

Naga: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga
12 buttons on the side, so it's kind of overkill, since I don't play typical MMO's. I would leap at this mouse, but it has.... 12... buttons.... how do you even memorize all those? Geez. However, being the Rubik's Cube solver that I am, it wouldn't take too long... probably.. so I'm willing to give it a shot if you guys recommend it enough c;

Also, there is a Razer Naga Hex, with 6 buttons, but they're weirdly placed. http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga-hex/

I would go with the DeathAdder. The Naga just looks weird with nine buttons on it, I think it's a bit much :p

I recommend getting a mouse you can change dpi on. It helps a lot, believe me.

Opiiiinion Time!!!

Mkay, I own a Razer Naga Molten. This is a special edition mouse. I honestly love it so so much, and it serves all of the needs that I would want.

Pros:
-Nice Palm style grip
-Gold Plated USB and Braided Cord (Improve product quality)
-Comfortable Dpi (5600)
-Seventeen usable buttons
-Comfortable twelve-button thumb grid
-Special two buttons in the corner (Only on the Molten)
-Notched scroll wheel for precision.

Cons:
-Gets slightly warm (After a very very long time of continuous use)
-Some buttons may not end up used. (Better for huge MMO games)

I think that the Naga Hex would be a great middle ground, but the Naga Molten works the best for me.

Hmm, I think the two buttons on the side of the left click button are placed in an awkward position, and wouldn't be used often. Really, for MCSG all that I really need is 3 or 4 extra buttons, for FNS, fishing rod, sword, and maybe bow. The Deathadder has 2, and the Naga has... well.... 12.

For the two buttons in the top left corner, I happen to use those all the time. I have a MC controls flipped around, so I block with left click, and strike with right click. I toggle my perspective regularly out of habit, and those keys are perfect for the job. I just absent-mindedly shift my index finger over, and I can use it naturally.

Though, I would recommend the DeathAdder if you really can't see yourself using those extra keys (Which I do all the time)
I used to own a wireless mouse that had a similar layout to the DeathAdder, and I just used one of the buttons for my first inventory slot, and another one for my perspective, and that worked well. The buttons on the Naga help with pulling really great combos with the sword, bow, and F&S.

I have the Deathadder, I use the 2 programmable keys for FnS and Fishing Rod. You don't need a key for the sword as number one on the keyboard works fine. If you need anymore than these keys go for the Naga.

I use a button for the sword because of the constraints with my keyboard. I can't get into the habit of reaching the 1 key, as it's far away for me, and doesn't flow well for pvp
