The Lag Strikes Again.

Seriously, every time I go on the servers I have an insane amount of lag. I have nothing else on but Minecraft, I put every video option in the fastest setting but I'm still lagging like crazy. But I have been noticing that the bars on the server list are barely full, only one bar. But when I'm on the server and look at the player list, my connection bars are full. I'm not sure if it's just me, but some help would be greatly appreciated. :<

Its Your Internet Connection, Its internet lag, not server lag, also when ur in a server and u press tab, Its allways full for you!

its mojang, they screwed up the connections to servers

if you dont believe me: downgrade back to 1.2.5 and the bars will be full (theres a file listed minecraft1.2.5 in your jar folder)

Thank you for clearing that up.

And zed, I know it's not my internet connection, I have really good internet connection when surfing the web and playing other games such as TF2 and Counter Strike, it's always Minecraft that lags for me. Or it could be just my connection to the server itself, not my internet connection or the server itself. Idk, but I just wanna play without lagging like there's a ball and chain strapped to my computer's leg q_q

True, I hate lag. I can never get to the chests in the center because of lag. And always walk when I try to run away from hunters. That is if I can get into the server. 3/4 of the time I get disconnected because the server is restarting. Then when it comes back on the game has already started!

I've also noticed something else in my further investigations:

It's only the Survival Games servers that only have one bar on the list, all the other multiplayer servers I go on have full or near full bars on the server list. Even when I played the MCSG Tekkit server when it was still up it had almost full bars. Someone help me out here please D:

Make sure if you live in the US to go on US servers.
Otherwise, mostly it's Mojang's "Optifined 1.3 Client" which is causing the lag.

Yeah, I live in the US, but on the East Coast, and if I remember correctly, the servers are held on the West? But that hasn't really been the problem before 1.3, nor any of the problems I've had, so it must be the Mojang thing. :/
