The really frustrating thing about the small number of AU moderators is that if you received just ONE ban, no matter how small it was, it automatically disqualifies you from ever getting the chance to become a moderator. And I honestly think this rule needs a good look at, there are quite a few people who would be excellent candidates who are about to be online often and who have been an active member in reporting abusive people and hackers, but ultimately are just ignored because of their ban.
We need users who punish players for breaking the rules not players who broke the rules. Also how can you trust someone that has broke the rules already with such power.

As with the topic of internet abuse. There is no such thing, first of all if they can get good internet they will. Look at some of the greatest players on mcsg, they do not all have great internet. For example Gravey4rd his internet is not ye best and he is number 1 in the world and as said previous poor internet can give you an advantage if used correctly.

On the topic of mods. As said previous we are trying to get more au mods. We had the same problem in eu, I believe that's why the mod apps opened back up.

Hackers... Yes we all hate them, if you need a mod the best way to get in contact is to poke a mod on teamspeak. Even if we are from a different region, for example I am from eu. We will not hesitate to come over and help out. Also as mentioned above you should download recording software, you have no excuse not to use it. It is easy to get for free and won't lag your computer until you start recording and you only need to do that for about 15 seconds to get enough evidence and most of the time you will be recording you will be in spectator mode anyway so the lag is not a issue.

Well there is an excuse to not upload a hacker as the average upload speed for an Australian is 0.5 . By the end of the day, I could report 7 hackers or so but it takes 30 minutes for me to upload a 15 second video and what's the point if some of the mods don't even know what kind if hacks exist. I would have gone through the effort if I was a mod.

If AU was trying to get moderators, then there would be new ones in the hub. I know there's the whole interview stage and everything, but I know many capable players that could easily do the work of a moderator, get declined for being judged on one ban or I know people in Phoenix that could become mods but they don't want to because our clan is blacklisted.

I agree with everything else though.

That rule is in place to ensure that the staff team is as good as it can be. If someone's broken the rules before, it doesn't make much sense for them to enforce the rules. I know some people with ban histories may make great mods, but think about how many could be bad. Yes, people may change over time, but how can that be assessed? They could put on an act, and then be naughty and misuse their power. The easiest solution would be to just have never been banned in the first place.
If they misuse their powers, that's why the senior staff has logs. As I've said before, someone shouldn't be judged because of 1 ban. Probably the best AU mod has been perma banned, just because I actually see him doing work. Ghostiz for example, who's had no previous bans to my knowledge, was asked by a friend to join this game to record a hacker. He then said he was busy so he didn't care and joined a different game and ghostiz was in it. Seems to me that the mods who have ended up being banned before do a better job than ones that haven't ( at least what I've seen on AU.

I would also like to add my own opinion on the whole ping subsets and this cannot be fixed. As much as MCSG tried to make it completely fair, players will always have some form of advantage over others, wether it be incredibly good internet or powerful computers, MCGamer can't control that. I would give you tips, but I wouldn't think that would help.

I will go back to hackers now, that there will be no clear cut solution to get rid of all hackers. (If there was it would already be on MCSG). ATM, I think the ncp is working out quite well for me and I find it easier to beat hackers than actual players. The only way to get rid of hackers is that everyone actually stops complaining about them and try and do something about it. Hey the amount of time you spent on this thread, the average AU player would have already uploaded 1 hacker.

On your point of bad upload speed. I myself have a 0.33 upload speed and I am a mod so I have to upload a lot. Having poor internet is not an excuse.

I'd rather upload a video to my YouTube that people that would enjoy it, rather than a hacker video that mods won't even realise it's hacking. Hey it's never been our jobs to get hackers banned, can't be bothered since I'd rather have fun, than waiting for my video to upload. A lot of other AU players feel the same way I feel, hence the hackers stay and the people who can't kill the hacker or even record him, get mad and show it on the forums. As I also stated before, if it was my job to ban hackers, of course I would go out of my way to get then banned, but I'd rather use my internet for fun and for other people entertainment, than get maybe 1-2 hackers banned that if they weren't banned, I wouldn't run into them again (or if I know there is a hacker in game that I know I can't take out I would just leave).

I can't for my life at times
I agree with you, altough I live in AS and I get a decent amount of ping on AU. I can't hit people even from 1 blocks from time to time. Especially against teams and with my god internet. (Yours is better).
