Flint & Steel and how to use it

Many MCSG players just use flint & steel as a counter for someone who has better armor than themselves. But a different way that i have discovered, that works really well, is to have it in your hand and show it to your pursuer and then attack with your sword. What this does is makes them weary of attacking you because they could run into the fire... This works super well against advanced players because they know what could happen and slow down and are cautious, giving you the advantage and the first hit.

Something I like to do is, face the ground, hold food, hold down right click and start eating it (If you're at full health just hold down right click anyways) They'll most likely come charging at you and you can switch to FnS and light them on fire. You'll already be holding down right click so you should be able to place the fire fairly quickly.

Because it's not technically a FnS strategy. You don't actually "use" it. You just show it to the other person and play mind games with them.

I actually use thos tactic a lot, and i know others who do it too. Another way to use this is to hold your FnS out and left click the ground whilst in front of your opponent, this can be used defensively and offensively, and if they get too close for comfort, right click and they're on fire.
