Do different texture packs make you play differently?

So, the other day I managed to make my own custom pack by mixing the cool parts of all my favorite texture packs. I finally found the texture pack that I want!!!

I then noticed that my playing was a bit different.....I kind of was playing better and gaining more wins.

So, does having a texture pack that you enjoy make you play better/worse, or is it a mental thing where your brain tricks you into thinking so?

I thought it was only HD packs that caused more lag, not any pack that isn't default.

I have to agree with this. I always found I pvped better with default than with texture packs, even ones with PvP in mind. I find that I PvP best with either default or R3DCraft. Not sure why, I just love that think sword and bow.

fps doesn't make you play better if you already can't notice lag. A player who can't notice lag in a 256x pack will still not notice lag in default. If your computer needs to run a low resolution pack to give you good frames, it isn't the texture pack that's helping your pvp, it's the framerate.

I guess if you like your texture pack, then you're more comfortable, which in turn, makes you a better player. Same logic with organized space = organized mind.

I would say my mix of packs makes me a better PVPer then when I am on default.... just saying!

I think it's just your mind. I used default for better frames but then I got addicted to Huahwi's pack and I seem to play better with pack.

The bow pull back and Ceuta could help you. Other then that just more playing time and practice would be improving your skill.
