Ping problems

So I haven't been on in forever, but I'm having problems with server connect. It takes forever to freaking pull up my servers connection, and I always get aroun 15000ms ping, whereas before I was unlucky if I got above 800. So obviously there's something wrong, and I know other people can get into games pretty quick, so can anyone help me? I would play minecraft more but I'm not going to suffer a 2 minute wait to try to join a server that will fill before I can even join.

It could be 2 things, your connection, or the servers..

if you live on the east side of the us you might try the eu servers.

But this isn't an internal problem I don't think. I have fine internet and a very good CPU, and I ran MCSG super fast back in 1.2.5, but now it takes me forever to load a server, and I think it's because of that stupid "Searching for LAN" thing.

Im having the same problem and my ping is 18ms and im getting over 1500 in minecraft 2. in 1.2.5 i was gettin less than 500 always.

How are you pinging the servers, from server list?
If so go to start and type cmd
when in the cmd.exe type " ping eu1.mcsg.in " or what ever server. You will get a more accurate ping.
