Whats a tribute?

I see it everywhere to do with MC Survival Games...
What is it?

The tributes are the people that are currently engaged in the game. Spectators are just that, spectators. They are people who joined during a game in progress or tributes that have died.

A tribute is an alive player. In the Hunger Games books/movie(s), the two chosen participants for the games from each district are mentioned as "tributes", so that is where it has been carried over from.

So basically each game consists of tributes and spectators. Tributes become spectators when they die.
