Personally, I have the Razer Naga 2014.
There's plenty of buttons, but I rarely (if ever) accidentally hit any of the wrong ones. It does take a month or so of practice, but once you have it down, it's sooo worth it.
I can pull off entire combos by combining buttons on my mouse with some of the lower number keys on my keyboard.

For example, if I set a key to "1" and "3"on my Naga, I can do this:
3N
Right click
1N
^^ That's hitting the 3 key on my Naga, right clicking, and then pressing the 1 key on my Naga.
What it does is switches to my fishing rod, casts it a short distance, and then switches to back to my sword whenever I hit the next button.
I'm also able to set my Optifine Zoom to a Naga key, which has proved to be amazingly useful for long-distance shooting.
Additionally, I've set keys for faster usage of flint and steel in both the 8 and 9 slots, and drawing back for a fully-drawn bowshot. (An extended right click)

If you are getting a mouse without sidebuttons ( except for page forward and return buttons ) I would suggest getting some cheap chinese ones. This might sound stupid, but they look great, are cheap and work great aswell ( Personal experience ). I got a razer nage and a 6$ one and barely see a difference. The only downside is that the delivery usually takes around 20 days.

Yes, If you have multiple keys on the mouse then I would go for that one because you can switch from slot to slot in your hot bar easily.

I use a Corsair M95 white thing. No problems, and it has macro's w/ software that edits them.
