Weird glitch

i joined mid game and i was still alive apparently and was given the abiltity to fly. can somone explain why. my friends say i was a ghost before i joined. so anyone know why this happened?

This is known as spectator mode, you can fly around a see other tributes.

It tends to happen when you leave fly toggled in nodus, jokes
