How do people get VIP?

You must either build a map and have it accepted in the MCGamer community, or be famous on Youtube and Twitch, or simply be a well known former staff member. For more information about certain ranks, you can visit this part of the forums, which is found here:

Yep, basically what Miner said! Either you build a map and it's accepted onto the servers or you have a youtube/twitch channel which mainly uploads/streams mcgamer content. I think the youtube subscriber amount is about 10,000, or at least 2000 twitch followers c:

It probably has due to the mass increase of players.

Anyways, VIP can be earned in multiple ways.

• Being a map maker
• Ex senior staff
• Youtuber or streamer

Well to correct you: You can not get VIP from map making anymore. There is a new Builder rank. But all the other ways are correct. QA:TL

In addition I wanted to give an overall view on all the possible ways that you can obtain the VIP rank.

As far as I know, there are currently 3 possible ways to receive the VIP rank on our Network, but do not cheer to quick, because it is not easy to obtain at all!

1/ By building a map that is accepted onto our servers. Once you have finished building a map for our network, whether it be for the Survival Games, for Battlegrounds or for Deadly Descent which will be released in a few days, the head builder and 3 other builders that are chosen by the leader of the build team or the group or people who worked on the map together, will receive the VIP rank. BUT, like mfungamer already mentioned, this will most likely be replaced by a "Builder Rank" somewhere in the future.

2/ By being a famous YouTuber who frequently posts MCGamer related content on their channel or by streaming MCGamer content via Twitch. However, there are some requirements you need to meet in order to obtain the YouTube / Twitch VIP rank. 3/ By being a former member of the MCGamer Senior Staff (= Senior Moderator+) team that has resigned on good terms. However, since you cannot directly apply for the Senior Moderator or Admin position, you will need to submit a moderator application first (pls don't use the developer template if you wish to do so...).

VIP is given to users who have greatly helped the server in certain ways. When a map is accepted into MCSG, four builders are given the VIP rank. If a YouTuber who consistently uploads MCSG content and has a high subscriber count are also given VIP. This is because these YouTubers bring a lot of people to the servers, as they want to play with the YouTuber. People are occasionally commissioned by the MCGamer server to do artwork for the various aspects of the community. These users are then given VIP for their work.
