As I'm sure most of you who have used the mobile version of the forums know, it's pretty terrible. From having to read profile posts one letter per line, to just simply being slow and unappealing, the mobile forums really aren't the greatest. Tapatalk is a mobile forum app that supports tons of different forum varieties and softwares, as long as they have the necessary plugin installed on them. Therefore, I suggest that this plugin is added to the forums (for an experienced forum adminstrator, it should only take a few minutes at most) in order to make browsing the forums from your phone or other mobile device easier and more pleasant.
Pros:
Pros:
- It's free.
- Much smoother and nicer to look at than the mobile website.
- Can connect to many other forums, making it easy to keep track of new threads and posts across all the communites you are a part of.
- Easy to install.
- Uses less data if you have a data cap (from what I could tell from my tests, may vary.)
- No ads.
- If you so choose, you can receive a notification whenever you get an alert/PM.
- Doesn't load signatures, so you don't have to scroll through tons of photos that will slow it down/eat your data.
- You can choose between a light/dark theme. (The latter can increase your battery life by a decent amount if you're using a device with an AMOLED display, such as a Samsung one.)
- As far as I can tell, you can't see profiles posts on someones page. (May be configurable) You can still see threads they've started and recent activity.
- Only supports forums that have the plugin installed.
