It gets very annoying when people get trapped and don't suicide so you could make a reminder every once and a while to /suicide if you're stuck! PLZ

This couldn't do any harm. Why not implement it? All it does is broadcast a message around the server saying "If you're trapped, do /suicide to speed up the game" or something like this.

Agreed. It would be really nice to see people actually speed a game along by /suicide.
Admittedly, some people will still be stubborn and won't /suicide "because they have gear and could survive the game" or something. But at least the message can help remind newer players and maybe speed a few games along.

I wouldn't suicide. You never know what could happen to a guy with the best armor. He could fall into a trap or be overwhelmed with mobs. Heck, he might even disconnect.
I have seen a match were it was one guy dominating and had full iron and a diamond sword, but he lagged out and it went into deathmatch with two people in leather.
So, I would never suicide. I have been stuck in a hole, and spectators have tried to blow me up with creepers.

If there are a low amount of tributes remaining and my buddy and I haven't run into anyone for a while, I usually always /suicide to guide him via Skype/spectating around the map to kill them and speed up the game faster. Usually more notable if there's 3 players left, I basically give my friend the win.
On an unrelated note, I played a game yesterday from start to finish that ended in 11 minutes and 35 seconds! A record for me.
