Staff abuse?

Hey, I just noticed, I wasn't sure at first, but I was muted for 3 hours for bypassing filter. Excuse me? I have done no violence in the mcgamer chat. A few minutes later, my friend(Pootellax) PM'd me via Skype telling me she got muted for bypassing filter.
Then I notice something, not many players are chatting.
I'm not sure, but is a staff abusing their commands?

There is no abuse. If people get muted, it's for the right reason and if you don't follow the rules there will be consequences.

Everyone makes mistakes, it's possible that a Mod made one in your situation. If you think he/she did, you can dispute your mute.

If you wish to see the reason / evidence of your mute, feel free to ask a Moderator on Teamspeak, the forums(Dm) or in game, after your ban has expired.

If you believe it was unfair, after seeing the reason / evidence then please post a ban dispute on the forums.
