Something to the Compass

I went on this server which was a lot like the survival games except you had to get your materials your self but when the time came the compass everyone got in the start it pointed to someone so, i suggest that near the end (about 8 tributes left) compasses actually point to someone not the spawn. this would help the flow of the game majorly but, at the same time it would also give an excuse to wall hacking and people who "hide" would get killed faster. my point is : i spend about 40% of my time playing looking for people and this would help it become 2%

Its part of the game to look for people, they are most likely not so much prepared for an encounter as you.
