Reports locked without a reply

I know that if a user's been banned, I get a reply sayinf the person's been dealt with. If the evidence isn't good enough I usually get a reply saying to repost within 24 hours. But what does it mean if it's locked without any reply at all? Is there an automated plugin that locks threads, or does it mean the evidence isn't enough? Should I repost?

Sorry for the inconvenience, as there was a mis-communication between another moderator and I regarding your report. If you want more details, you can PM me, but the user was dealt with appropriately. No need to worry about it

Also, if we say "The user has been dealt with", that does not necessarily mean they have been banned. That just means that you filed the report correctly, and the appropriate action or lack of action was taken by the moderator who reviewed the report. Hope that clears things up, and sorry for any inconveniences caused.
