Recording system

As the Topic tells, I am here to talk about recording system & Editing program. I really want to start recording more hackers, but I do no't own a good recording system. I neither have a good editing program. I am currently playing on a Mac OS X, and I need a good recording program, and editing program. Both of the programs can cost money, but not more than $30. With the recording program I want to be able to record at steady fps, and with good quality. I also need an editing program which is easy to use, and easy to upload to YouTube from it.

The most basic recording system would probably be FRAPS (free trial version will suffice, 30 seconds is usually enough to get proof of someone hacking, and the watermark won't be a problem). I'm not sure how much the full version of FRAPS costs these days, I think it's around $40 though.. so you'll probably want the free one. And for an editing system that's also basic, a good one is Windows Live Movie Maker. Not the best quality, but if you're looking for something free and easy to use, it probably can't be beat.

One of my friends used Screenflow for editing and recording, his videos seemed to have good quality and clips were easily edited. I personally don't use a Mac, I'm just taking my friends' word for it.

I had no idea FRAPS didn't work on Mac... that's weird. In that case, I got nothin'. Macs seem to be much harder to find stuff for, especially that's free.

the most popular and best recording software for mac would be Screenflow but it is quite expensive ($100 I believe), there are *cough*Other*cough* ways of getting it for free though. you can also use quicktime for recording your screen but I don't think it will work as well, you can google around about it if you wish and quicktime is already installed on all macs (should be at least if not its free)

Screenflow has its own built in editing software and the ability to upload strait to youtube without exporting, which is nice. but like I said it's quite expensive, unless you get it on sale, which is how a lot of mac users got a hold of it.

I actually got Screenflow for Mac for free, legitimately. (I think..I hope) I use it sometimes, and it works very well.

You can get it for free, just search on Youtube
The great benefits of this Program are that it's 1 program only (recording+editing) and you don't have to 'render', you can just 'Publish To Youtube' via Screenflow !

You could use the free version of screenflow it works great and I never lag at all. It is perfect for catching hackers.
