This thread is mostly going to be about the flint and steel invisible fire technique/glitch.

1. Is it allowed?
2. Can it be patched?
3. How is it done?

-Im just wondering how it's done because maybe you can replace different blocks in the maps so people can't use it to their advantage with the F&S.

Yea, it's allowed. It's not patched. Place fire on a clear block (glass, chests, glowstone, redstone lamps, etc..)

^^ Also since it is a vanilla minecraft feature, I am not too sure whether it can be fixed or not.

What I mean with this is that it won't be easy or maybe not possible at all to suddenly make fire appear on certain blocks where it generally does not appear on in your vanilla single player world.
