Two questions about the rules-

-Is using the vanilla sprint key allowed? It gives an advantage, but it is 100% vanilla.

-Are all of Optifine's features allowed? Specifically zoom and other settings you can't get in vanilla?

In regards to your first question, the bind-able sprint key is aloud, however any modded client that enhances your sprint is not aloud because it has other advantages that are unfair. Now, for the second question, all the features of optifine are aloud
