Question for mod application

I was reading the mod application, and came across the part that talked about bans. I have been banned once for an hour for block glitching, at a time where I didn't know what block glitching was, and I didn't get a warning. I think this is unfair if i can't become a moderator because of a 1 hour ban, but can this be an exception?
