Need quick youtube help

Alright so basically, I just uploaded a youtube video. It's in 1080P, it's processed we're all good.
Except for one thing.
All the thumbnail options are the grey and white load thing! I'm quite the youtube newbie, so why is it like that when I processed the video and everything? And can I change it?
Edit: To be more in depth, as detail is always important. Basically, I clicked the button, upload when finish processing because I got better things to do. So when I come back, the thumbnail is the white and grey thing with the 3 dots. So when I go to change the thumbnail, it's all the white and grey thing with the 3 dots. So, is it gonna be like that forever? Can I change it?

It needs a while to update, did you add the thumbnail picture before or after you uploaded the video?

If I remember correctly from when I still uploaded video's on YouTube, I had to upload the thumbnail picture on the same screen and time I was uploading the video, if I added it afterwards it took about 4 days until it would finally chance.
