Massive lag spikes

I am just getting massive lag spikes, yet I am running a good computer.
Help?
I set my graphics to fast, smooth lighting off, particles to a minimal, view distance to normal, and running to max fps.

I am not going to go in much detail but it basically is an FPS boost for minecraft. Works great!
