My favourite bit is how more than half the people have no chance at getting any items in the corn because of massive pillars and loads of vines in the way of their paths

First of all you could get rid of the vines so they don't slow people down and then you could try removing the pillars and have it suspended by the bridges (give it a ghostly feel). In terms of giving your map a chance of being accepted try adding more screenshots which show the map off nicely, the one you have at the moment isn't very clear.
