Lightning at deathmatch

Not sure if this is a bug, but its new.
When ever the deathmatch starts each player gets smited with lightning repeatedly until one of them die.
It's kind of annoying :/

Does that happen as soon as the death match starts?
Or when you run away from the center? (that is normal)

As soon as it starts. I know it's normal to smite people that try to run back into the forest, but they get smited even when they're in the center of the cornucopia.

Well I played a few games earlier and it wasn't doing it anymore.
So I guess it was a weird glitch or something.

I assume this was a bug.
Or maybe it was just bad weather.
