Since when did /kill count as a death if the game didn't even start?

This was a feature they added about 2 months ago. Even if you leave the game (/hub) it counts as game because they say that you actually played it and you didn't win so it counts..
Plus this somewhat prevents boosters..
(when they made this feature there was a glitch where even if you left in pre-game it would count as a loss)
