"Kicked for flying"

Okay in the middle of a game I was doing really well, had a diamond, some iron armour/sword. and some guy came up to me and kept hitting me into the air and suddenly I get kicked for flying.

Happened to me twice now, rather annoying.

Can't you do anything about this?

The "kicked for flying" isn't to do with anti-cheat (I think), the anti-cheat only brings the player back down when someone attempts to 'fly' I guess.

In the permissions folder you can choose whether flying is allowed or not, I was thinking maybe set it to enable flying and then you won't get "kicked for flying" message when being hit in the air multiple times, instead if it thinks your flying it should just bring you back down to the ground instead of kicking.

Or is that not possible?

I submited this to bug tracker already. Had the same problem with running into the no walk barrier at the countdown when the game starts.
