Is this possible?

I noticed that there has been a feature implemented to minecraft where a server can get you to install a particular texture pack the first time you join it.
Could something similar be done with MCSG, but instead of a texture pack, a mod or custom MCSG client?
My Idea is that if you get everyone to install a mod or client, they can't use hacked clients like Nodus because the two wouldn't be compatible.

Won't people who want to use hacks just not use the texture pack?

I'm pretty sure people can't be forced to install something, so if they were going to hack, they just wouldn't install it and continue using their own client.

1: That feature only works for texture packs and I am pretty sure you can't adapt it for mods. 2: (As Captain Dak said) it has to be optional and you can't force people to download things. (Otherwise you may end up with viruses)
