Is Hashtagging allowed?

Because no moderators have answered my question even though they were not AFK, I have had to come onto the forums to ask this question.

For mods: Is this something that should be reported if I have proof for it to cause spam in chat?

It's fine to do so aslong as it doesn't break any of the rules for spamming. It's treated the same as any other message.

• If the message is repeated more than three times over a short amount of time, it is considered spamming.
• If the message is the only thing said and is repeated constantly, it is considered spam.
• If the message takes up two lines of text and had no point to it, it is considered spam.

6. Do not use excessive caps: Excessive caps prioritize a person’s message over others, similar to spam, and is often viewed as screaming or shouting.

Example:

1. THIS IS CONSIDERED BREAKING THE RULES
2. CAPS
3. THIS is STILL BREAKING THE RULES

• If the message is in all caps, then it is not allowed.
• If the message is four letters or more and is in all caps, then it is not allowed.
• If the message is mostly caps, it is not allowed.

4. Mass demonstrations that attempt to sway community policy through public displays is not allowed. Mass messages, poke campaigns, hashtag phrases (e.g. #ChadForBanned) and the like will be considered a kickable offense.

Okay thanks, it's just on some servers it's not allowed as it potentially cause spam in chat.

Unless the hashtagged word violates any rules, no. Basically, if the hashtagged word is spammed, flooding the chat, inappropriate, or abusive, etc., then it is punishable.
