I don't know but it is using a bug and I think it is not allowed.

Have your own opinion please. Don't blindly believe what others tell you. At least go into detail as to why you think it's a bug. Don't just keep shouting "it's a bug! It's a bug! OMG squash it!" please.

Can't you just build it on blocks then destroy the blocks behind it? I've never tried it, so I didn't know ladders acted like vines that way.

its not a glitch as if you try this on Vanilla it works. Therefore its not exploding a glitch.
