One of the funnest aspects of MCSG is playing with your friends. The problem is that you might have difficulty finding a server. Especially for larger groups and clans with non-donors. So I propose this. Add a /party command for the hub. How it would work is that the format is /party [user]. You'll be sent a request to join a party. Once the party host goes on a server, everyone in the party will immediately join the server. If someone from the party were to leave the server, then a message would pop up saying that member.
But this removes the entire purpose of donors!!!
Not necessarily. Donor privileges still apply to those who have it and don't. If your party has a donor and the server is full, then the donor privileges still apply to that person. If the server is a few people too large, then the donor will kick someone out. However, you can't join a server if your entire party can't come in at once.
But what if people start spamming requests?
/party block. It prevents any party requests from coming to you. You could still join and make parties I guess if there was a way to start private ones
What if people make 24-player parties composed of donors, and start joining random servers to kick everyone in it?
Just have a max-party cap. I'd say around 4-6 maybe, teams shouldn't be that big regardless unless you're having a clan battle, and even then, they wouldn't need that many people. Problem is that the 24-donor jerkcircle could just split up into 4 seperate parties. If there was a way for the server to recognize this and prevent it from happening, that'd be great.
That's all of the counter-arguments I can think of. Does anyone have anything to add?
